She had had a series of falls off a foot stool resulting in a serious concussion. This was compounded by her refusal to go to the emergency room for two days and insistence to walk her two hounds in 114 degree weather!
She was my next door neighbor and was the first to greet me in my new home. We became fast friends and she always said I was her “brother”. She was a gentle spirit , always willing to help another and was hard put to be critical of anyone.
Joan had been a Sartni resident for over 15 years living most of those on the third floor, moving to the first floor last year because it was easier for her to walk her dogs Sarge and Tasha.
Tasha
Since she had ground floor patio she kept a garden; mostly cacti and aloe vera. Both able to survive the murderous desert weather with minimal care.
